INTRODUCTION

This completely off the beaten track tour will enable you to discover Lao in a way few tourists get the opportunity of doing it. In Lao, you will drive along tracks as well as roads, which will lead you to genuine sites, sometimes very wild, where you will be considered as really odd people by the local ethnies.

On our way, we may come across some surprises such as a blocked road. Your guide and your driver might then have to change the itinerary and adapt the tour to the new situation. By following us along those tracks, you'll have also agreed to take some risks.

In any case, neither a change of route nor even of accommodation can entitle you to apply for compensation. However, any possible extra charges due to last minute changes will, of course, be paid for by Coral Discover.

DAY 1

welcome at the airport of Phitsanulok and transfer in the hotel. Have dinner in town by the river Nan. Night in Pattara Resort.

DAY 2

Delivery of 4x4 Suzuki. Departure by the road along the National park of Phu Rua then we savor a lunch in the mountain while admiring the magnificent panoramas, then we pursue our road until Danced. Dinner and Night in Rungyen resort. Total: 170 km

DAY 3

Departure towards the border post with Laos .After the formalities of police and customs, we meet our local guide lao and we have lunch in a typical village.
We drive on the runway until Paklai then let us cross Mekhong on the ferry before making a commitment on a small mountain road until Xanakham .
Dinner in town, Night in Guest-house. (Total: 200 km)

DAY 4

We drive first of all the runway which goes along river of Mekhong. We admire magnificent points of view since the ledge then we continue on the runway crossing several isolated villages but typically Lao until Fuang where we mark a stop for the lunch. The road continues until Hin Huep. We visit fishermen's village, his traditional market and bridge Indochina , then we pursue our road until Vang Vieng. Dinner and night in the hotel Namsong. Total: 220 km,

DAY 5

We follow the mountain road to discover the spectacular site of VangVieng with its numerous points of view and its crests. We meet for the first time the ethnic group of Hmong. We stop for the lunch in Phoukoun. We are in a real crossroads very livened up between Vietnam and Laos and we can discover his picturesque market with its particular animation. We pursue the journey by crossing various mountain villages Lao until Luang Prabang. Dinner party Night at Villa Chitdaraw. Total: 220 km

DAY 6

VWe visit the city of LUANG PRABANG classified "World heritage" and its Royal Palace, its magnificent temples (Wat Mai, Wat Xiangthong). We roam in the city center, and we can notice that its colonial past remains still very present. We taste the traditional cooking Lao on the riverside "Namkhan".
Early in the afternoon we visit the waterfalls of Kwang Si. Dinner party and night in the Villa Chitdara. (Total: 70 km)

DAY 7

We cross again Mekhong by the local ferry and enter on the runway after Chomphet for 138 km during which we pass in little frequented villages Lao where the time seems to have stopped. Meal on the way before arriving at Hongsa where one refreshed a little before pursuing the runway until Mekhong where waits for us our barge for a trip of the river until Pakbeng (approximately 2 hours), Dinner party and a night to Monsavan Hotel. (Total: 165 km)

DAY 8

We take back the way on the meeting of isolated villages and overhang several times Mekhong which we grow tired not of admiring. We reach Houay Xay late in the afternoon for the formalities of police and customs. We return in Thailand to Chiangkhong and we arrive in Chiangrai for the dinner.
